Will anything come of the Lesnar "Attack" on Orton? Lesnar appeared to go full on UFC Ground and Pound and it took several stitches/staples to close up the gash on Ortons head. I've watched wrestling off and on most of my life and that didn't appear to be wrestling but a straight up MMA fight as far as Lesnar goes.

 

I've heard where that was completely off script and that Lesnar was retaliating for a verbal shot that Orton had taken about him getting booted from UFC.

I imagine a lot of it stems from the Chris Benoit case and, alternatively, their "family-friendly" marketing much more so than for "competition" reasons.

Could be however Benoit had several issues, all of which most likely contributed to his actions. The biggest contributor was probably severe brain damage.

You don't think they should be able to cheat in their fake athletic contests?

 

I mean, I went to a local wrestling show Friday night and they had wooden hammers, steel chairs, bungee cords, trash cans, plywood. I didn't see anyone complaining about that "cheating"

I thought the match was somewhere in a gray area between WWE and UFC.

I would say specifically "recreational" drug test. Of the three, two are married to each other but on different "teams" and travel schedule is opposite. It has been inferred that the husband / wife duo failed due to the same reason.....

To be honest, like others on here, I have no idea why there is testing in WWE. Clearly the majority of these beasts got to their size through artificial additives, now their employer is going to act like they are as pure as the driven snow ? Come on....

Heard the same, but it was good spin given Lesnar's recent UFC exposure. I think they figured out a way to use Lesnar for WWE relevancy and put just enough doubt into the picture about his stability to keep people tuned in.

I'm a Brock fan....but I would have serious reservations about his stability in the WWE where there is more precision and measured violence required...

 

I personally think the dude is eaten up with the CTE
