My family and several of the Raceland Ram football players and cheerleaders came to my house to watch Aaron yesterday. The excitement was unbelievable. All day, everyone I talked to asked if we were going to watch the game. Congrats Aaron and family! All of Raceland is very proud.

Of course I was kidding. Heard he missed a short one pretty bad though?

:thumb: He did miss but was able to connect on his next attempt. He is perfect on the year on his Pa and his kickoffs have been touchbacks except for one. He will have to show he can make them all, there is no room for error at this level and Aaron is fully aware of that.

I've seen him kick once. Didn't even come close on a FG try against NIU. Guess Brooks was right on again?

:thumb: :thumb: GO BUCKS!!!! I think that if the Buckeyes win out that there is no way they drop out of the national title game no matter who is undefeated or how many. OSU is ranked #1 now, if they win out I know it is the BCS ratings but I still don't believe they drop out of the title game.

I spoke with Aarons dad yesterday and he said that the family & Aaron appreciate all the support that everyone has shown. They are a proud family and have every right to be.

After Aaron missed his first FG attempt against Texas he was greeted on the sidelines by two guys that know a little about football. Eddie George & Chris Carter gave Aaron their support and told him to stay positive as he was a vital part of the Buckeye chase for the National championship. Aaron responded by making his next attempt and was perfect on alll his PA. Keep on doing what you do best Aaron, we at Ram Country are with you through thick & thin.:thumb:

Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel has said that Freshman kicker Aaron Pettry will be the starting kicker again vs. Cincy on Saturday. This shows that Tressel has confidence in the young kicker enough to put him in there again after a couple of missed fg's (1 in week1 and another in week2). Aaron is perfect in his pat's :banana: and all but a couple of his k/o's have been for touchbacks with most going out of the endzone.:banana: Imo since he hit his second fg attempt (his first one as a Buckeye) in the Texas game that he will be o.k. on those now. Aaron was 2-2 on his fg att., hitting kicks of 47 and 43yds./ Had 6 k/o's, 4 were deep in the endzone for touchbacks, 1 was out of the endzone for a touchback and 1 other on the goal line which was returned out to the 50 and Aaron made the tackle that might have saved a td. He was 4-4 on his p.a.t.'s. Overall a very good outing for Aaron today in the Buckeye 37-7 win.

Aaron missed his only fg att. today, was from 53yds.. It had the distance but was wide right. Aaron was again perfect on the p.a.t.'s going 4-4. His k/o's were outstanding again with 2 touchbacks (one out of the endzone), another was around 5 yds. deep in the endzone and returned out around the 20 to 25 others wre right at the goal line and retruned to around the same distance (20-25yd. line).
