August 16, 201610 yr Author That siren can wear on you. It can torture you over time but still no excuse. If he had had his siren on, I would have recognized he was coming and slowed down and pulled to the shoulder to give him ample room. He was very very close to me when he passed me, which I found fairly concerning to be honest, what with the speed he was traveling.

August 16, 201610 yr Maxima is a solid car, always has been. Every one I've ever driven impressed me, surprising power and handling...ultimate sleeper car. You can kill people at a red light with most Maximas. Oh I used to destroy people at red lights. They'd have their "souped up" Honda Civics and I would embarrass them. :lol2:

Two brothers in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, older brother dying on the stretcher, looks at his younger brother and says "I'm tired of hearing the siren." Gets me every single time.

August 16, 201610 yr I've gone pretty fast a few times. It can surprise you sometimes, not realizing you're going that fast until you look at the speedometer.
August 16, 201610 yr When I got my VW Golf brand-new back in 1998 I noted the speedometer went up to 140. Had to try it, just in case I ever needed to go that fast. Got to 130 before backing off.

My dad worked for the FD for 21 years, so that was really a terrible movie for me to watch when I was younger. :lol2: But it's one of my favorites.
