The ironic thing is that at one time most of those kids would have suited up for Boone County.

Before Ryle, Cooper, and re-districting Boone County and Conner were the only 2 public high schools in Boone County. Boone County was a very good football program. That started to change with Ryle opening and now that Cooper is open BCHS is effectively pulling kids from Florence. It wouldn't surprise me if Ryle and Cooper have higher enrollment than BCHS.

Not cool.

 

Boone is obviously struggling but the above piling on is not appropriate and disrespectful to the coaches and kids. Kill Votto all you want. He's a pro.

 

Be better than this. It's not really what BGP is about.

 

Boone County may be hurting but they are still a 6A school. Who else should Cooper schedule? Clyde is right. So what if Boone is not on Cooper's level? It's still live action and Boone deserves to be there. I commend all players/coaches involved with the Boone County program. Keep fighting and keep your heads up. Your hard work and dedication will leave the program in better shape for future teams.

There's a difference in saying Boone isn't very good (20+ losses in a row would support that) vs saying a team with no football team would be a better scrimmage. Reporting fact is fine. It's HOW you do it. If I say your wife isn't as attractive as mine that's different than saying "your wife looks like a fat pig."

You are spot on. Couldn't have said it better. The guy had an opinion and mixed it with some humor. Boone County has been non-existent in football for years. It's just the same old whiners on BGP making an issue of it.

As an alumni, it didn't get too rough until the comment about St. Henry. Come on. No need there... The boys are fighting hard and I hope they see some successes. Especially for these seniors who've had a bit of a roller coaster 4 years. Good game Cooper!

An adult insulting teenagers! That's cool with you? Not with me. Would he say that to their face? Would he stand at the fence around the track and and yell that to the team as they stand on the sideline during the game. If not, why not? Because it is rude and childish.

 

I would hope he has better manners than that. It is not too much to ask that he exercise those better manners on BGP.

We all see it different I feel any shot about a school on here is on the coaching staff not the players. It is their job to get the athletes on the field and put them in the right place. That is what they are paid for.

Wouldnt the same go for Conner? I would say more kids on Cooper would be going to Conner instead of Boone. There is no doubt the new schools hurt Boone but they have had plenty of time to rebound.

Anyway, back to football. Damn grow up.
