Does anyone else here on BGP get pumped up when Mayfield beats Milan (TN) in their scrimmage every year?

I love it anytime a KY team handles an out of state power.

Stick it to the Tennessee guys!!! I'll give the Mayfield fan base this, they have street cred with me. Practically everything they said would happen last year happened. It sounded like bluster, but it was entirely accurate. As they say, "it ain't braggin' if you can back it up!"

Hard to get pumped over a scrimmage win, with that said seeing Milan fans talk about how good Mayfield looked does make me smile.

 

I know one thing, if I am a fan of another 2A school I sure am not pumped. Usually when Mayfield beats Milan it leads to a State Title for the Cards.

I realize it is a scrimmage but this might as well be counted as a game each year considering the strength of both programs.

Milan struggled in their other scrimmage with Henry County (TN), a game that resulted in a one touchdown tie. How good is Henry County projected to be this year?

 

To answer the question, it's nice to see Mayfield win, but I don't get pumped about it.

Pumped? No not pumped but I'm sure happy anytime a KY school beats a good out of state school in anything.

Yes we always root for Ky teams. If you are a 2A fan you want to knock of Mayfield at there best not on a down year.

If Butler County upsets Mayfield in November I am sure they are not going to stop celebrating to say "Man! This game would have meant more if Sidney Herndon and Lane Kennemore were Seniors this year instead of last year"
