Hellcats Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Republicans control - both houses of 28 states - 31 governors - majority in Senate - majority in the House - 4 SC justices Saw that today. For a party that's really unhappy with the direction of the country they sure are making a lot of decisions.

All Tell Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Almost as bad as Obama complaining about congress doing nothing during his reign when he had majorities in both when he took office.
75center Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 R's have been part of the problem, no doubt. Part.
Dlbdonn Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 R's have been part of the problem, no doubt. Part. Qualify this ( Major Part )
UKMustangFan Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 As far as going down the wrong road goes, I'm fairly confident that this is the first election of my lifetime that I really believe neither candidate has America's best interests at heart. I really think both Trump and Hillary will make decisions based on what's best for their own bottom-lines, regardless of how it impacts the country. I've never felt that way before. :idunno:
75center Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Qualify this ( Major Part ) Everyone has a different definition of major. Significant certainly but the Dems 2 years with the white house, the house and the senate certainly had a major impact.
Bluto Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Some of those numbers are goin' to be a changin' , my friend. Keep dreaming. No, Capt, he's right. Just not I the direction that he'd like.

UKMustangFan Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 When you say "bottom-lines" do you mean they both are in it for the money? They're going to do what helps make their foundations and businesses the most money.
capt278 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 No, Capt, he's right. Just not I the direction that he'd like. IMHO it's just hope by the Dems that they will capture the Senate. I really don't see that happening.
Twotoplace Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 After Trump (who's not even a real Republican), who are the leaders of the GOP? No names jump out to me either. Therein lies the problem for the GOP.
75center Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I would expect Ryan and Rubio to gain a bigger voice for the GOP. The worst thing that could happen for the GOP is for the Don to be elected. I'd rather have Hillary shoot the dems down.

They know if he wins they're doomed down the road.
