They're going to do what helps make their foundations and businesses the most money.

I guess I'm naive but I don't believe that of either candidate is out for the money. They both could make much more money not fooling with trying to run this country.

Perhaps, but they wouldn't have the power that comes with the office of POTUS. That means a lot to both of their egos.

I agree with egos and pride but not money.

The crux is what strokes the ego.

Yeah, I'm not buying they are in it for the money. Egos, definitely.

Money is plausible Trump is a businessman and we all see as a matter of public record how the Clinton Foundation and speaking fees benefited from her time as Sec. Of State. At no point will I ever believe Clinton ever has anything but her own interest at heart. I don't even believe she has real ideology just ideas based on polls.

Unfortunately, government driven actions are more and more Federal.

- ACA

- Impact on economy

- Exchanges (most are failing or will fail in near future)

- Immigration (legal/illegal)

- War on terror - globally/domestic

- Spending/deficit - still way to high at Federal level. States are almost always bound to balanced budgets.

Most people are ok with their state and local government. But these Federal-owned or driven things are more and more impacting the average person.

Senate and House not federal govt?

My state and local govt ain't the greatest.

To be fair, doesn't every high-profile former politician cash in on speaking fees and book deals? It's par for the course.

O yea your right. Historically speaking though I don't think we've seen it done to this level with foreign leaders or foreign influencers . Also the unprecedent aspect of Hillary being in charge of foreign policy and those same leaders she deals with are paying Bill to speak.

I also wouldn't put it past a savy business man like Trump to use the office to benefit his industry.

Bill's fees when from around $200K before HRC was SoS to $500K to $700K while she was SoS.

As POTUS....the sky is probably the limit.

I do have concerns about the foreign influence aspect of it.

It's very uncharted territory and we saw the conflicts of interest while HRC was SOS arise. Normally a president leaves office and has no direct connection to policy.

Bill would be smart to come out and say he won't take speaking fees while Hillary is president. If I were the Trump campaign I'd run ads on it and force their hands.

Agreed on both counts.
