Some comedian who would have two lines in a movie he was making then three months later he'd show up at her stand up show. Some young writer who he'd sit down with and give all the advice he could. He was just a nice guy who was good to people. Combine that with his talent and you've got a towering figure in the history of American comedy.

July 20, 201610 yr I assume you are VERY young. Habib and I are about the same age and yeah, if you didn't look him up and are in your late 20s to early 30s, you can probably be forgiven for not being able to match the name to the face.

I was looking at his works....Did he just quit in the mid 1980s? Had a bunch of stuff until then, then practically nothing.
July 20, 201610 yr I was looking at his works....Did he just quit in the mid 1980s? Had a bunch of stuff until then, then practically nothing. He effectively stopped producing and writing but still directed movies on occasion and acted in small parts in movie and TV fairly regularly.
July 21, 201610 yr Didn't Mr Marshall have a home around Richmond/Madison Co. at one time? I don't know how often he was there but I'm thinking he owned some property there. Anyone ?
