There two best players, as I recall, were Lori Erpenbeck (well over 6' tall, which back then, was unheard of -- sister to THAT Erpenbeck) and Fredda Simpson. Fredda, for those that don't know, went on to be the gorgeous blonde shortstop in "A League of Their Own."

 

You referring to Bill "Mr. Football, NKU Style" Erpenbeck? I remember he led the charge for NKU's football program and was all set to hire Mike Yeagle as head coach for the Norse.

I will have to agree to disagree with you. While those two teams are great I think Scott has made some noise these past three years coming out of the 10 region to far in the state tournament.

 

Scott fielded a volleyball team with two girls standing 6' 5'' several years ago, both went on to play basketball and volleyball in college, and they still couldn't beat Notre Dame when they played. Notre Dame's tallest players were about 6' 2 '' but Scott wasn't even in the game. Scott does field a competitive volleyball program and I credit them for that, but please don't even mention them in the same sentence or thread with the Louisville schools. It doesn't work.

Those were the days, it was actually 1981. That is when they had 7-0 Skunks and whitewashes (15 to 1-3), before rally scoring. Anybody remember those days. Those years had some long games, when you had to serve to score...
