At least they seem to have gotten back to primarily involving Greater Cincinnati teams in the event. It looks like everything, with the exception of the 3 games on Saturday August 27th takes place between local Greater Cincinnati teams.

I'd still like to see more mix-up games between Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky teams crossing the river to play one another.

When you bring in out of town teams to play the best this area has to offer that is a really nice thing but when you take two local teams, pair them up, and double or triple the admission... there ain't nothing good about that...

I like the format

2 game on Friday at Princeton and 2 at another location

4 or 5 games at Cincy U. Or Paul Brown Stadium

Couldn't agree more....especially when it's a district match up played at one of the teams' home field.

e.g. - Walton-Verona @ Lloyd

Agree and I would call it Questionable Ethics at best on the part of schools like Walton-Verona and Lloyd in this specific situation.

Time for my annual "old guy" rant.

I fully get and support schools for playing these games at a place other than Nippert if there is a strong guaranteed pay day.

However, paying EXTRA to watch WV/Lloyd or CCH/Oak Hills at a high school/D3 school just isn't worth the extra expense. What are the Bearcats/Juggs/Colonels getting out of this from the players' standpoint?

Someone(s) that wears a tie gets to control a nice little sum of money.

God bless them if they can get it.

Disagree because ultimately the money is coming from price gouging.

And I came across this definition of Price Gouging thanks to Wikipedia and Google and I am owning my part of the definition.

Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to when a seller spikes the prices of goods, services or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair, and is considered exploitative, potentially to an unethical extent.

I have a feeling that the colonels elected to be a part of the event without knowing the match up. I'll bet the people putting on the event are a bit unwilling to give the colonels a marquee match up at great venue.

You know, maybe CCH got exactly who they wanted.

And for any of you CCH fans that need a reminder, the Colonels have way overscheduled for years. Or put another way, if you think it is a sexy matchup for the Colonels, it is probably a bad matchup for the Colonels.

I do think CCH/Oak Hills is an interesting matchup. Anyone remember what happened when they played at Riverfront?

We're on the same page. Outside of the run between 2004-2006, CovCath hasn't had the horses to take down the Ohio big boys.

I mean in recent memory(aka my memory).
