Can Rose Hill build a HIGH SCHOOL football program?

Bottom line is it should be about the kids, and not coaches or parents egos.

Look around the area and see what has happened over that past 10 yrs. When my oldest son started playing JFL we competed against 4 teams in our own JFL and also against multiple teams in Westwood, Raceland and Ashland. Then last year when my youngest son played, Boyd didnt even play Ashland and surrounding areas and Boyd has even fallen to the waste side with only one team.

Bottom line is like I said it is for the kids and not for the Coaches.

Well said, but sadly it's parents/coaches that make the scheduling decisions and often they don't have the kids best interests in mind. Oh, they'll argue that that's the reason certain decisions are made, but from afar, it really doesn't appear that way. Just a brief look at the basketball scheduling will show that. I would hope that all of the area teams/schools would take a hard look at their youth programs and analyze what the goals are and if they're truly doing what's in the best interest of the kids.

Score aside, I think it is just as important to learn how to handle winning as well losing. Last night after the final little league game of the year, the winning pitcher and arguably the leader of the GA team said C'mon guys let's go tell them good game. This kid already knows what many adults need to learn or relearn. Etiquette and gamesmanship are just as much a part of competition as the score. This needs to be taught to the youngster's by example. I am not referring to this game with this post. I wasn't there and I don't know how each side reacted. I am just posting my thoughts.

I heard a different story, but I will believe ya...:thumb:

BTW, if that was the case how come I never saw another letter to editor classifying the mistake, just wondering....But like you said, especially dealing with the Daily Independent, mistakes do happen.:thumb:

Just use logic. Why mention the kid's parents and then intentionally leave out the kids.

Who loaned you the money to reup?

I went to the Credit Union and was denied.

I heard that you did. I was told that you sold tickets to your lecture on offensive schemes emphasing the wishbone. I'm sure they will send you a letter in the mail expaining why.

Maybe it's just me  but I'm thinking my kids would be alot more excited about seeing their own names listed amongst their team mates.........

than to see my name listed in the body of the letter.

I agree and so does the coach who wrote the letter. The Independent messed up. This is a typical reaction from a cynical society. In this case you have a guy donate countless hours, come out of his own pocket for different expenses, and when he attempts to do something nice for the kids every assumes the worst. I guess my suggestion to use logic was unrealistic.

Getting back on the topic, Rose Hill defeated Wurtland last night 26-0. 4 different Royals visited the end zone in what was describe by a fan in attendance as a methodical beating.

Methodical beatings are always positive events so long as you are the "beator" and not the "beatee". Congratulations to Coach Bush and his team.

I also was in attendance for the first time this season and saw that Rose Hill is for real. They play very well together. The coaches and players prayed together after the game and frankly, that's the most impressive display.
