That wasn't his problem, at least not for me. His balancing the budget on the backs of Ohio teachers and public servants put me off.

 

Plus his blatant lying to a crowd about how poorly he'd been treated when he was stopped by a Ohio Police Officer, showed me his true character. The police chief later released the video showing that he was treated professionally, but Kasich played it up that the policeman was on a power trip and treated him like a buffoon. He had no idea that video would come out...Character is doing what's right when no one is watching, he failed this with me...luckily the dash cam was watching.

The 'I' in FBI stands for Investigation. The FBI is not a prosecutor or the AG. They should have no role in determining if prosecution steps for obvious and blatant criminal acts (various, explicit laws and regulations were violated without any debate).

 

No one wants to make a call that would be a historical precedent. So like so many Federal functions they are kicking the can down the road or into the gutter.

HOWEVER, all of you who are so outraged about the inequality in the way Ms. Clinton is being handled vs. the "Average Joe", I have a question for you. Are you equally outraged at the way "Average Joe who can afford a private attorney" is treated vs. "Average Joe without the means to hire a private attorney"? 'Cause I'm here to tell you, poor people in America are probably less outraged than you. They already knew that a rich person, famous person, a person with the right friends, skin color, "look" have different ways of being handled in our judicial system than they.

 

In the end, I don't think this non-recommendation is going to do much to sway anyone to not vote for her or vice versa.

Between this ruling and the over turning of the Republican former governor of VA conviction recently , the average person realizes there is another set of rules to follow. Not only is there a seperation for rich and poor but the political elite are even harder to even to bring to trial.

I agree with you RM. I see it daily. Privately hired attorneys usually get better deals for their clients than do public defenders.

 

It's a sad day in America when the FBI admits Clinton broke the law. She destroyed evidence. In KY that's called tampering with physical evidence. That's a D Felony that can get you 1-5 years in prison. She gets a pass. Sad.

 

As to the bold, that is probably the saddest part of all of this.

The thing is, Trump isn't an "outsider". And he isn't outside the establishment. And he most certainly has benefitted in the "system" because he is wealthy. Anyone who thinks he knows what a "regular Joe" goes through is off their rocker.

Couldnt be further from reality as far NOT calling Trump an outsider . The R establishment has fough tooth and nail to defeat the guy , they just couldnt do it .

It would seem to me that if Comey erred or acted unfairly there would be evidence of similar cases among lower-level staffers, or especially political appointees, who were indicted under very similar facts.

 

As I've said before, Clinton's circumvention of transparency with her email server ought to have been politically damning (and if it weren't for her opponent, it very likely would be). But, I've never seen any evidence that this sort of thing would lead to an indictment.

Anyone that can say justice is blind after today with a straight face really isn't paying attention.

 

I'm outraged buy what do you do? There is clearly no justice for the American people. If it had been one of us, we'd be put under the jail.

 

I guess in the end, the best I can do is try to get as many people out to vote against Hillary as I can.

My favorite part on Comey speech was admitting people in other positions in government would be punished. Which is consistent with my buddy who handles backround checks to get clearance in military and federal positions. She at the very least could never be hired , and even more likely convicted.

I hoped but that's mostly all it was. I just never thought we would have an FBI director admit to the American people she broke the law but he would not recommend a prosecution. I thought they would spin it better .
