I would be okay with medical marijuana by prescription only. Anything beyond that I am adamantly opposed to.

Are you okay with alcohol being legal? I am asking a serious question here.

Legalize it and tax it. Police it as you would drinking and driving. Stiff penalties. Restrictions on growing. Yadda yadda

 

You are never going to win the war on pot. Focus on the drugs that are killing our kids. Focus on the addiction to those drugs.

As long as it isn't just a backdoor way for Pfizer or someone to get a patent and FDA approval for "medicine" people can grow in their yard then I don't think there would be much noise about it.

Can the little man or back yard grower turn plants into medicine? I don't know, maybe they can.

 

While I have zero doubts that there are benefits of Medical Marijuana, I also am not naive enough to think the majority of people supporting the legalization of Medical Marijuana are not doing so for recreational reasons.

 

I'd love to see those that can benefit from it get it. But let's at least be real about it...this isn't about medicine, it's about recreation and home growing. Isn't that why it failed in Ohio, the people wanted it but didn't want it to be controlled by a handful of suppliers...so even supporters of legalization voted against it.
