I, too, like white sneakers, penny loafers, iron my jeans, patch Papaw's jeans and coveralls-a hand sewn patch is artistic, pay cash, let Papaw open doors for me, don't have a cell phone and to the grandchildren's surprise, still make pancakes and waffles from scratch. I've been recovering from surgery and granddaughter wanted Belgian waffles and looked in the freezer and told me I was out of waffles. Imagine her amazement, when I pulled out the waffle iron and mixed up the batter. It was truly priceless.
