Any News on Scott Job?

Featured Replies

I don't think you can hire someone from the previous staff. It seems as though Carr is gone for things that some might feel should have been brought to administrator's attention earlier. Not my opinion but some might feel this way. I would go outside the current staff to completely wipe myself of the situation.

Very unfair to Steve Frommeyer who is very much his own man.

Just as Brad knew that he was what he was, Steve actually has a very different style. He is quite knowledgeable and more than capable of serving as the Scott head coach.

Steve Frommeyer and Chris Stapleton would both be excellent choices for Head Coach.

Are both Frommeyer and Stapleton teachers? If so are they both already in the building? I believe this would give them a leg up.

Stapleton is a teacher. Frommeyer is not.

Apparently Scott has it down to 3. First round of interviews were last week. Stapleton would make the most sense, he served as Carr's right hand man, also a teacher at Scott. Fromeyer is also a great coach, I have heard his relationship with the players in incredible. Scott would lose here if they hired someone outside of the program. Scott is also having a basketball camp this year, Stapleton and Fromeyer are both running the camp. If that says anything.

I would think Frommeyer not being a teacher has to be a detriment to him getting the varsity job? How many non-teachers coach boys basketball in NKY?

I believe the decision comes down to these 2 and the one that isn't hired stays on staff as the "right hand man", as long as they haven't found a HC job somewhere else...

Must be a hard decision.

Once again. You all jump the gun with this. Not all interviews are finished... But the end is in sight....

What's wrong with Rinehart that you so strongly dislike?

Did I ever say I disliked him?

All I'm saying is that Basketball101's post was false and knowing that he knew nothing as to whether Reinhardt got the job yet or not, he still felt the urge to post... But he is the type of person that make the threads fun to read.

Referring to your post in which you said it would be a big mistake? How so?

He has a track record of never staying anywhere long at all.... If he's so great, why is he looking for yet another job... What happened at Nicholas County, Holmes, and now Newport.. The kids already have a great relationship with Coach Fro and Coach Stapleton.

Hell, Stapleton and Frommeyer without knowing if they would get the job or not, volunteered to run the Scott basketball camp... It's obvious both of those men dedicate everything they have to the Scott basketball program, I don't think Rinehardt will be half as dedicated to the program as the other 2 are...

The returning players voted on the 3 coaches... Not one player voted Rinehardt.

Stape and Fro have track records of winning championships, Rinehardt does not.

If I had to guess, he left Nicholas to be closer to home. Surprisingly people do that all the time. As for Holmes, could it be because he works at Newport? Makes sense to me. He was an assistant at both Holmes and Newport and now wants to be a HC again I would suppose. Makes sense to me.
