April 27, 201610 yr I think when the 3 get healthy, the rotation is going to be... Bailey Iglesias DeSclafani Moscot Lamb I say they push Simon, Straily, and Finnegan to the pen. Will greatly improve the bullpen. Could see them just dumping Simon though. You think they choose Moscot over Finnegan in the rotation? Who would you choose between those two?

April 27, 201610 yr So we let a right handed batter face our left handed pitcher who had thrown a 100 pitches. Makes no sense to me, oh then we bring in Cingrani. This makes 4 games that fall on dumb baseball

If Price went to the pen and they gave up the lead, I'd bet you'd be complaining "he should've left Finnegan in"... Price is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't with this staff.

Yes Price is pretty much in a no win situation given how bad the bullpen is, but Cotham has pitched well this year. If Price brings in the bullpen, and they blow the lead then it's on the bullpen. When you let a guy at 106 pitches face a power hitter from the other side of the plate then it's on you. No way Finnegan should have been left in to face Cespedes.
April 27, 201610 yr Author Let the kid learn, the hard way, wins dont matter this year. What Price did tonight showed that he at least cared about the kid pitching. Price knows his job as manager will not be with the Reds after this season, so he could have just made the change and went on, but he cared enough to give the kid a teachable moment. Kid gave up a HR to Cespedes, join the club.

April 27, 201610 yr Yes I do. I think long-term they see Finnegan as a reliever. Why? He has been pretty good as a starter thus far.
April 27, 201610 yr Lamb going tonight in the minors. Hope he does a bit better than that first start back.

April 27, 201610 yr Yes I do. I think long-term they see Finnegan as a reliever. Is Moscot going to be on this team in 3 years? I don't doubt that Finnegan ends up in the bullpen but in this year of trial and error I would rather try him in the rotation first to see what we might have

April 27, 201610 yr I'm not sold on Moscot, I agree. I will be shocked if he is in the rotation 2 or 3 years from now.
