April 20, 201610 yr Author Eagles get #2 pick, and a 4th rounder next year. Browns get #8 pick, #77, #100, next year's 1st rounder, and the second rounder in 2018.
April 20, 201610 yr Maybe the Browns have finally figured out how the draft and free agency works :lol2:
April 20, 201610 yr If I had to place a bet I'd say the Browns really wanted Goff. Goff is going to the Rams. The Eagles like Wentz. Easy as that.
April 20, 201610 yr As bad as the Eagles are they look like idiots here. Unless one of the QB's turn out to be franchise QB's.
April 20, 201610 yr Good deal for Cleveland. Neither of these two QB's are going to be Manning, Marino or Elway. They both look more like one of the McCown's to me. Silly to mortgage nearly all of your draft for a guy that couldn't fetch Fitzgerald a cup of Gatorade during a 3 minute replay review of catch vs. non catch.
April 20, 201610 yr This does not solve the Browns QB problem. They are using the analytics "Moneyball" thing. I bet QB's are not rated as sure things so they will take one of the 5 that could go in Round 1 there....or Hue has AJ McCarron on his radar and something worked out with the Bengals on draft day. I still wouldn't trade Mccarron, unless I got Pick #8 and my guy was there.
April 20, 201610 yr Ballsy when you aren't sure which of the 2QBs will be there when you pick I don't buy that for a second. You don't trade up to the top spot and not know what you are doing. As Cowherd said, "You don't buy an engagement ring without knowing who you are giving it to."
April 20, 201610 yr Browns have wanted more picks all along. A second round qb will save them a bunch of money. They have had no luck with first round qbs.

Deshaun Watson is a better prospect than either of the QB's so it works out well for them IMO.

I doubt the Bengals would trade McCarron to a division rival to make them better even if they were to get the number 8 pick. The Bengals love Hue but since Hue went to a Division rival I doubt the Bengals do much to try to help them out. Especially giving them a possibly a good qb.
