To my knowledge Bullitt East has never hired a boys or girls head coach from outside the school. They have always promoted from within. Gonna be real interesting to see what happens in this one!

Didn't they screw him over once already. By telling him he had the job Blackburn stayed and he was up here with no job for a year? Someone with a little more insight may be able to explain it better.

yep..

They should look at Tony Williams.

Ummmm why would he leave doss? They've shown they can win and have a good roster next year.

Plus Doss is Tony's Alma Mater. I don't see him wanting to leave for any other school not named Ballard. He still may not want to leave. He's 2 for 2 in his years at Doss going to Rupp. Can't seeing him leave the school he loves and is succeeding at to go somewhere else, especially in the same region.

He has brought his alma mater back to prominence. Doss treats him very well, and has allowed him to bring in several transfers in the last 2 years. I can't imagine Tony looking anywhere else. His ultimate goal is to coach at the college level. With what he's pulled off at Doss, it could happen soon.

Having Derek Anderson's help doesn't hurt that much either. Coaching college and coaching at Doss 2 different story's. He has done a great job at Doss for sure.

He's proven himself to be a great motivator, and leader of young men. Those things carry over. I didn't mean to sound like he's the next head coach at UL or anything. But he will certainly get opportunities to be a college assistant and work his way up if that's the avenue he wants to pursue.

Any word on this opening? It has to be considered one of the better openings this off-season.

Jason Couch has been named the new coach at Bullitt East.
