What does Mason County need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to do to turn around the season they had last year? Remember, please be constructive.

They need to increase their by about 20 to 25 players. I don't know if anything is going to help next year but we need to start building for the future and it starts by getting more players.

I think they will be better this year than last. They were young, and got some good experience.

 

Sumo royal is right, they need to get numbers up, that will make a big difference. I believe coach Thomas can make this happen.

 

I'll be interested to see who plays QB this year. It was a committee last year, and I am intrigued to see what the plan is this year.

Mason had a big graduating class and the number in the lower classes were low. Kids just don't want to play as much as they used to.

I agree with kids not wanting to play as much as they use to. There are way more distractions/other things to do now.

Nothing personal against Coach Thomas (he seems to be a really nice guy) but I'm not sure he was quite ready for the HC position. I think he'll get better with time.

 

I agree about the numbers being low. MC could not survive any injuries.

 

I wish Coach Buchanan had stayed but I'm glad he got to go back home.

They did graduate a bunch of seniors, in Coach B's last year. And the class that was Senior's in Coach Thomas' first year, almost couldn't field a Freshman team. Numbers were low for them from the start.

 

I've heard numbers are heading back up, but it will be an uphill climb, but I think Coach T is the man for it.

And I think they could possibly steal one from Fleming or bourbon keep in Mind Mason co was beating bourbon 14-0 at the half and didn't score another point , and loss 30-14

I agree with most of your assessment. I don't know what Bourbon has returning but know that they had a solid JV team and freshman team last year.

Fleming County should be better this year than they were last year. They return most every one and they after they made the Qb switch last season they were much better offensively.

We hosted an OTA here yesterday and the Royals looked good. I really like their team and what the staff is doing with these kids. They are like most of the rest of us, they are thin and really need to stay healthy. But, if they can do that, they will have a nice football team. Go Royals! :thumb:
