The revolving door continues. What's this make now, something like 8 different coaches in the last 5 years? Does anybody care about girls basketball?

The crazy thing is that it could be a decent job. They are in a very tough district with Mercy and Bullitt East so making the regional would take an upset. But you could win 15-20 games a season there. They won 13 this year and had a lot of issues including an in-season coaching change. They just need to find the right person.

 

I am strictly speaking from the basketball perspective.....I know nothing about the support or behind the scenes stuff.

Enrollment of 1400. The rest of the schools in the district of a combined enrollment of approximately 1500. You're going to make the district probably every year and if you don't something crazy probably happened. So if you want to make regional tournaments, it's a good job.

 

Now on the flipside, Coach Smith was 0-5 in the regional tournament. Andy Elkus never made the region in the 3 years he was there. March 13, 2003 was the last time Dixie won a regional tournament game.

 

There is some talent at Turkeyfoot MS - if those kids go to Dixie the program could really make some noise in the next 3-4 years.

Sorry but the talent from Turkeyfoot is already at Dixie and struggling. Dixies best shot at winning in the regionals is next year with Davis and Brock returning. However the word is one if not both are transferring.

Interesting. Care to indicate where they might go? They would need to have an address change and I believe they will both be seniors next year.

Why would they think about transferring both will be seniors? Dont believe its true.

Josh Feldmann has stepped down as the Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, Ky R-10) head coach after six years (115-62). Josh cited family responsibilities as his primary motivation for resigning.

Any chance he applies for the Dixie job? He is a Dixie Alum.

I missed Lou. Central coming open. I know the coach was pregnant during the season last year.

I heard at the state tourney that Central coach and her family were moving out of the area.
