March 2, 201610 yr I really cant place it, but Cruz makes me cringe. Listening to his speech tonight was almost like nails on a chalkboard. Can someone explain to me the whole abolishing of the IRS? It's been a common theme of the flat-tax or national sales tax supporters; who favor a very simple system that doesn't require a masters in accounting to fill out a simple tax return. They do away with most deductions and tax anywhere from one rate to a couple levels sliding upward as your income rises. Obama really helped this cause along by using the IRS as a punitive weapon for those that politically oppose him. Would save a ton of money, along with abolishing multiple, arguably useless Federal Agencies.
March 2, 201610 yr Christie looked like Tony Soprano's brother-in-law standing in back of Trump tonight. Talk about someone selling their soul to the devil. Sheesh. Highlight of the night for me was Donald saying he could solve the problem of corporate inversion in a half-hour by bringing the right people together in a room. One would think his opponents would press him for details when he presents these cockamamie solutions to complex problems. But they don't.

Agree I'd like to hear more details from Trump, but anything he would do would surpass the last eight years. Obama hasn't had a meaningful conversation with anyone who doesn't totally agree with him in 8 years? He couldn't get a consensus alone in an empty room.

We abolish the IRS, but then just have a similar agency with different regulations? Its on a state/local level? Are we equipped for that? Sounds like a mess. I am very naive when it comes ro this topic.
March 2, 201610 yr Looking like Rubio and Sanders take Minnesota. Good for Rubio--He finally won something, even if it's a state that elected a WWE star governor and a buffoon to Senate.
March 2, 201610 yr Listening to Trump in his Q&A session vs. Cruz in his speech, makes me want to lean Trump and I can't believe I am saying that.
