I agree mostly with this statement. The only exception is that I feel there's 4 teams capable of putting the 3 games together.

 

Wayne Co won the 12th region the last yr it was played at Pulaski. Obviously, a few of the players from that regional championship are still there.

 

I think you may have misunderstood who I was considering in those top three. They are one of those three in my mind with West Jessamine being the possible fourth.

I don't think so. Much like last year, there are only 3 teams that can realistically put together the 3 games needed to win it all. There are a few that can do what Mercer did last year and surprise someone thus the reason no team can overlook anyone.

 

I agree that there are 3 teams that can make a run. The difference between this year and last year is that Mercer is on the top tier on their own. Southwestern and Wayne are not far behind on the next tier, and West is your Mercer from last year (probably can't win it but can beat any of the teams ahead of them). Last year it seemed like Southwestern, Boyle, Lincoln, and Wayne were all dead even.

Great draw for West Jessamine! They won't have an easy game, but they get three teams on their side of the bracket they have defeated. I could see them making it to the finals.

Agreed. If people want to be totally honest this is how the region is seeded whether folks want to admit it or not:

 

 

1. Mercer County

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Everyone else.

 

 

And if Mercer County loses in round 2 then all hell will break loose.

The officials will be from the 11th Region.

Yeah if i was West fans i don't think i would over look Casey. When they played in regular season West won by 7 on there home court and DJ White had been gone for 4 days to play in Kentucky All Star football game on the day of the game came in in 2nd quarter our sixth man who had a great District Tournament was out with ankle injury and our starting point guard forgot his shoes in locker room and was playing in some Sperry Top Siders lol well might as well have been he couldnt stand up. But I hope West believes they have a easy ride to the 2nd round.

The last time Casey was beaten by a team from the 12th region was January 16th by none other than West Jessamine, how about the irony. The Rebs are not the same team from January my friends. We like this side of the bracket just as much as the other 3 teams. Gonna be a fun one!

I think Casey is a different team, playing much better now. I like their junior class and I'm glad to see those kids achieve success. But West Jessamine will win this one.

West Jessamine and Casey are the 2 "most improved" teams - compared to November/December.

Everyone should feel good right now. I was speaking strictly from West's point of view. Would rather face teams I have beaten in the past, than teams I have not. Confidence goes a long way.
