I for one was sitting in the arena astonished at how these officials handled this game. Hats off to Brossart for containing Pig, but one official stood out to me & he appearantly doesn't know the difference between a blocking foul & a charging foul.

 

From everyone I have talked to, they all said the game was poorly officiated & I agree, the 10th region refs are just as bad as SEC refs.

I also agree that the officials struggled a bit, but it was both ways. Good teams overcome adversity and some teams let it get to them. There was a lot of emotion in this game and when you have 2 of the top in the region, its gonna be a battle. The better team won on this night. No assistance needed from officials

I was present & no I am not pinning the loss to the officials, Brossart did an excellent job containing Pig, but the matter of the fact is:

 

Pig should have played tonight.

Pig should not have gotten the first tech.

If that is accurate, and it well may be, if Danny felt that strongly about it, BUT that would be very out of character for him. I can hear him commenting that the game is out of control, but I would be very surprised if he stated the above about the "worse officiating crew he has seen in all his years."

 

That sounds more like something I might say.
