How's Beechwood scrimmage going?

The young Tigers held their own. Conner scored 3 times and Beechwood scored 2. It was not a game condition scrimmage. Three running clock quarters. No live kick returns. It was a pretty good first starting varsity game for almost all these players, going against a solid 6A school. I believe Beechwood has 2, maybe 3, returning starters. Learn and get better. Tonight was a good first step.

Beechwood may have a solid game opening the season with Lloyd and them playing Scott the way they did.

Lloyd will be a good opening game. They were a challenging first game opponent last year. It sounds like the Tigers acquitted themselves well last night. I think this year's team is going to be one of those teams where you look at where they were on game one versus Lloyd and where they are at the end of the season and it will be light-years different.
