Gene's son is staying with my son; in the same 3rd grade class!!!!!!!!!!!! His son, however, put one over the fence in pee wee last year and is a hoss. His mom told me yesterday he is 5'5" already. When he is in the 10th grade he will be a jock of all trades.

He has a son that is in High School right now doesnt he. Played second base for them last year I think and batted like 8th or 9th, and I have heard of his younger son the one you are talking about.

Come to think of it, he may have two other kids. I had forgotten about them since I only see the least one. I believe you are correct.

Are you saying Gene's youngest son is not going to Montgomery with him???

What about the one in high school?

Actually, after thinking about it, Mount Sterling is really not too far a drive from Beattyville...about one hour. Combs may decide to not relocate there, and continue to live in Lee County.

He is still in school and his wife told me the first day that they were staying. I will ask her again today. But the boy was there yesterday morning when I dropped mine off.

I was told that they were staying in Lee Co. Coach Combs is so dedicated to his community and school where he grew up that I still find it hard to believe that he has left. The administration at Lee must have really stepped in it for him to leave. I do believe that he would have loved to stay put had he been given a little respect and cooperation. I also believe that he will dedicate himself just as strongly at Montgomery as he did Lee and we will see quick results. I hate it for Lee, his program that he built there, and what it will do to the competition in the 56th. They were always a contender!

Yes I think i heard that the son in high school is staying at Lee County.

Good Luck Coach Combs. He goes to Montgomery that has had very good 8th grade teams the last two seasons. He will have some good young talent to mold into his system.

I wish Coach Combs the best of Luck as well. Yes he does have 3 kids actually and to my knowledge they all still attend school in Lee County
