Its not at all this is coming from players who have played and I am not saying its right or wrong but I do believe it hurts the basketball program.

That may be what the player is saying and his interpretation of a conversation with a coach. But I would wager that it was delivered as an ultimatum, play this sport or that one, but you can't do both.

Shenanigans

I wouldn't call it shenanigans. However, I wouldn't say that Dale would tell them they weren't allowed. But there are ways of the tone of voice or to word things into making kids think they aren't allowed. Either way, I just don't think this group of Highlands basketball players are that good.

I would say the ones who are good in both kind of had the upper hand.

haha He definitely had the upper hand.

Are you saying it was an ultimatum for players.

I just know it was frowned upon.

Pretty sure I know the player or players.

Whoops.... wasn't an ultimatum

I didn't think so and no problem.

I saw the Green kid roll his ankle early and left the game. I didn't see any other injuries. The Birds have a long way to go before they are competitive. Hard to believe that a school that size doesn't have more hoops talent.

"A school that size", please define. Define competitive. Since you seem to know so much, would the game have been any different if 44 in white is wearing 44 in blue?

Never mind, you do not need to answer that question because we all know that it would make a huge difference.

Not that good, but took your boys to the wire and played Holy Cross tight to the very end. May not be very good in your eyes, but still have a really good chance of making the regional tourney.

Now back to game. Birds stayed in the game for about 2 and 1/2 quarters and then "the call" really created a big momentum change. Birds commit a foul, NCC player claps in the offenders face and then a "T" is called (on Highlands). Not sure what transpired. Anyway, Breds convert the two tech's, then the two free throws and a missed shot on Highlands end and subsequent 3 by NCC pretty much sealed the deal. Not saying Highlands would have won the game, but they were still within striking distance at that time.

Pretty sure I know the player or players.

If you have any ties to Highlands then you definitely know this player.

Somewhat I guess but just know a lot of kids who go there and there parents, I have for years.

So rather than talking about the game, we would rather talk about a former football player that claims he was told not to play basketball by the football coach. If everyone knows this, then state the guys name. There have been a few over the years that could have "helped" the cause, but few that would have been termed "difference makers"

You are so easily offended. I admire your backing of Highlands and yes they lost to Newport by 1 but Newport wins handily next go around. But I'm not getting into a shouting match.
