I am very impressed with the attitude and drive of the young tigers. In this hot weather, they seem willing to give everything they've got, which is not something that I saw in the two past teams that proceeded to go undefeated. I havnt seen them in pads so I am not overly confident with their talent, but I am sure that they will give 110% when they are on the field.

Oh--I must say I am very impressed with one player in particular-- Jon Buehner who was on the 04 state team has a little brother who has the makes of a true leader. Look for him at QB. Not only this year, but also in the future!

So far I also love the work ethic of the 2006 freshman crew, but I can't agree with you that the last two freshman teams were lax in their workouts. It's awfully hard to loaf and go undefeated against the schedule our Baby Bengals play.

In regards to having someone named Buehner on your football team, for some reason, outstanding leadership ability is a quality that just seems to go along with the name. :thumb:

I have to say, they have their work cut out for them. Their season opener @ Moeller will be tough especially with the home field intimidation the Moeller never ceases to provide. However I have faith that MacCue will prep them for this, and they will be given an excellent opportunity to prove themselves in this game.

What a great way to open the season with top notch competition. I'm really looking forward to it since my daughter lives only about a mile from Moeller in Montgomery.

:ylsuper: GO TIGERS! :ylsuper:

I heard from a frosh parent that besides QB the baby Tigers have a pretty good running back as well. He also said they don't have a lot of size. But then again the last 2 classes did not have a lot of size but did pretty well.

I know T's freshman head coach pretty well and he said his freshman are slower and smaller than last year. Looks like a long season for the pebbles. McGuire has his work cut out for him this year, good luck. :sssh:

^ which is hilarious to me.

Sean told me the greenies are larger than last year with 12 players 6' or better. May not have the speed of RBs. Down to three QBs, one of which should develop into a good varsity leader. Roughly 90 players remain. Intrasquad scrimmage Saturday morning at 9:30AM at the practice field.

What position is Will Lawson playing at X ?

Will Lawson will be playing Safety at St. X.! :ylsuper:

How many kids - and who - from St. Martha are playing at either school?

I wish him the best at St.Xavier. Super kid from a great family. I look for Will to have a great career at St.Xavier!

I'll second this..

Who are the qb's for these freshman teams?

I here there are some St. Agnes kids on the Rock squad. How did that happen?!

There have been a number of St. Agnes kids on Trinity's teams over the last few years, icluding Joey Klausing, a 2-year starter and captain, who graduated in 1997 and his brother, Tony, a 2-year starter and captain, who graduated in 2006 and who is attending Notre Dame this fall.
