Oldercoach
This was a very good win for Augusta. Down by as many as 12 in the 2nd, Coach Kirk called time to get the Panthers refocused and that he did. Got the lead down to 37-31 at the half, then scored first 6 off trapping steals at top of key to finish off 12-0 run. The rest of third alternated lead changes, with both Snapp and Shoemaker drawing their fourth fouls in the early 4th. Panthers pushed lead to the final margin with a strong performance at the line and several steals and lay-ins. Sorry, I don't have stats, but a few observations won't be off much. Maddox had a chaser 6 inches away denying the ball and any open looks. Don't think he hit a three, but still had around 20-22. Snapp had a very strong game, probably a double-double, and Scott had no one to battle his efforts on the boards. Crawford had a very solid floor game and probably had a dozen. Shoemaker and Pugh both contributed solidly on both ends. This victory was a total team effort, with the five starters playing all but 4 combined minutes. Bench was a little thin with a couple players not dressed. IMO this was the 2nd strongest game the Panthers have played all year (with Simon Kenton being our best). Go Panthers! A warrior effort tonight.
THE VILLE
Really impressed with the Panthers in this one. They battled back and kept their heads on. I am glad to see that they bounced back from both the losses. Fist against Paris in the all"a" and then Bourban Co. on Saturday which they lost on a last second shot. So I am really glad to see them get this win. I am sure that they were not favorite to win this game at all. GO PANTHERS.

Oldercoach
Will make one more observation...senior leadership came through loud and strong tonight. Long stretch still ahead to District Tournament. Don't allow team to play exceptional only against good teams. Got a few trap games still on schedule. Need our A effort every night! Quagmire
Panthers battled back to take this one. Struggled to hit shots in the 1st quarter and trailed 19-13. Scott hit their stride in the 2nd quarter and got up to their largest lead of 33-20. Panthers finished the quarter on a 9-2 run and trailed at the half, 35-29. Augusta's run carried over to the 3rd quarter as they scored the first 6 points to tie the game at 35 all. The teams went back and forth the rest of the quarter with Camryn Snapp following a Jared Shoemaker miss with a basket just before the horn to put the Panthers up 44-43. The 8 point 3rd quarter is probably Augusta's best defensive quarter this season. The Panthers carried that momentum into the 4th quarter where they outscored the Eagles 23-15 to win going away, 67-58. **Unofficial Stats** Augusta 67 (12-5) Snapp 24 points 12 rebounds Maddox 18 Pugh 14 Shoemaker 6 Crawford 5 Scott 58 (6-12) J. Ohmer 20 (no threes) Dumlao 14 Perrin 7 Jolley 6 Englemon 6 Trame 3 C. Ohmer
