I'm not clear what she's been accused of. By whom? What would an indictment say? Lots of wild talk of treason on these threads. The ramifications will be borne out at the ballot box, won't they? "Punishment" would come if there's an indictment, trial and guilty verdict. I think Newt Gingrich said the odds of an indictment are one in three. You can read between the lines on that one as well as me.

It is obvious that many conservatives on BGP believe she used her private server for official government stuff that was classified or secret and they think this rises to the level of criminal behavior. I am curious about the view of the progressives/liberals on BGP. Did she do something wrong and if so, what should the penalties be, if any?

 

I will say, that the facts of the case are still not known. This is a hypothetical dealing with whether you think she did and if she did what does justice require.

2. I believe she used her email for info that is classified now. Classified then...I don't think so.

 

3. I'm not even sure she broke protocol in 2008. There is a point when she should have been told you will not recieve emails on that server, if this was of huge importance.

#3 is a good point. Surely they could restrict who is able to receive such information on the outgoing end of things, like only approved email addresses are accepted as recipients of email with classified content. I'm not an IT guy, but that shouldn't be too hard to0 do.

Colin POWELL had A Private email AND government email he used. The difference being there were no rules put in place against it yet.

To answer #3 she was told. That is documented . The Obama administration did not know she was using the server. She hide it from them as well.

 

There is no grey area. If it is determined there were emails top secret or higher on that server she will be prosecuted.

Danger to public safety: 1 death and 1 slow response to a lost child due to the closure.

Might be a pretty close analogy because common sense will tell you an unexpected bridge closure would put drivers and public health in danger.

The greatest tragedy of all is these men dying to protect a country that had turned its back on them. Several times the men at Benghazi begged for help ... and no one came. Regardless, of the emails, one thing is for sure Hillary failed to protect our fallen men.
