My heart says Augusta and my head says Augusta better play the game I know they're capable of playing if they want to win this. Paris, no doubt, has better athletes but that is a situation they face most nights. They win by playing smarter and exploiting their opponent's weaknesses.

Augusta has a chance if they slow the pace of the game down. Dont get in a track meet with the Hounds or they will be asking for trouble.

When Bracken slowed the pace last night they had alot of success once they decided to run up and down the floor with Paris the Hounds took advantage.

Would agree with this sentiment. Augusta should dictate the tempo to be successful against PARIS (I'm capitalizing this for emphasis, since this seems to be an important word).

Last year in the All A semis Augusta slowed the ball down, made it a low scoring game and won it at the buzzer. The Panthers graduated two starters that averaged 5 and 6 ppg up to this point in the season and replaced them with Pugh and Shoemaker who right now are averaging 9.1 and 8.6 respectively along with Shoemaker third in the state shooting 76% from the field. Most of the names in the book from last year's game are the same for Paris. I just can't see any reason why Augusta should not win this game. Sure, Paris could win this game, but making it out like Augusta has to play the game of their lives is absurd. Augusta has won their last five against Paris, why not six?

Paris will win by 10+.. Wish I could make the game but I have to work.. I'll be there Saturday night tho #ParisPride

If Augusta brings their A+ game against Hounds, you will need to get there early Sat. to get a seat to see the Panthers and Brossart fight for the Championship.

Good stuff! Hope you are 100% correct.

If if if...... If August brings their A+ game and Paris brings their A+ game there is no comparison IMO. Paris will beat them by double digits. The Greyhounds are NOT the same team they were years prior. Ashford, Cunningham and Johnson have added lots to this team from over the past years. Just wait for it .

After getting the chance to see both of these teams this week a few things I seen were Augusta got a little flustered when a team threw a full court press on them for a bit and gave up a big lead. Last night I wasn't real impressed, with a seasoned team made of mostly Seniors and juniors they got rattled early when foul calls went against them, some of which were crazy but a lot of fouls under their basket instead of getting back. With that said Paris is a very athletic team that could win this tourney, but I watched Bracken stay right there with them making it a dog fight until the end if Bracken had another consistent 3 pt shooter they could have taken this one. With all of this I am going to take Augusta by 4 I think they come in with more rest Paris had to really work the whole game. I also think Augusta will go in with the same game plan Bracken had start man and see what you get and switch to zone if Paris isn't hitting early but I think they will have something else in the book for when Paris figures how to handle it. I'm sure everyone is in for a real treat and great game. Glad I get to take this one in too the only loser will be the ones who stay home tomorrow night. Good Luck to both programs.

Anytime My Panthers play you better get there early. The Orange & Black 6th man is a big weapon. Away tournament games, especially close by are sorta like a "community evacuation plan".

Yup, we always head down to Augusta to rob the town when ever they have an away game

We comparing them to last year's team, because I felt that they were good last year.

"If"-

Pretty much what a prediction thread is about.

Paris always seems to have an athletic team. Haven't seen this year, but at times in past years, they have had undisciplined stretches.

No doubt Augusta can't play like they did in the second half on Saturday. I'm not sure if they became a little too comfortable with the 25 pt. halftime lead and had trouble flipping the switch back on or what exactly happened. Nevertheless, Augusta has learned how to compete and win in these big games in recent years.

I expect a good one tomorrow night.

Exactly. That's what I was giving on the post, my if ;-)

Hinson coached last year and Paris played horrible...Augusta owns tha Hounds and best believe the 2016 squad is fully aware. #beatdownsbygreyhounds
