did not lie to me but to this kids family who are great people, I am just upset on what was done to this kid. this late in the game it will be hard for him to land anywhere as he stopped looking when they offered. also a coach can make or break a college in his school as he does not have to let them in to see his players and he can lead then to a school that he has placed players in the past, AKA Steve Pardue at UK! I would bet that there will be no love showed APSU from Hopkinsville and all of the CCHS staff and friends of the staff as there are many!

The player took them on their word and did not go looking for any other offers as he wanted to go and play for this terrible program for some reason. Now do you see a lie anywhere??? this offer came directly from the AD whether or not he had the authority to do so or not. With decisions like this would you send a player of your there? one win in three years looks like he would get rid of the old not the new!

One win in three years tells me the new coach needs to put his own stamp on the program, including recruits. Hate that the young man was caught up in this but it's part of the process.

This will not have an impact on his ability to recruit WKY. Kids will go where they have offers. If that's their best offer they're not going to turn it down because a punter lost his scholly.

Craft earned his scholarship by attending their summer camp this past summer. In front of the entire camp he out punted the entire 8/9 punters they had attending the camp. Craft had 7 straight punts in the air over 55 yard and was offered on the spot by the APSU head coach. Don't have a problem with a new coach pulling an offer but when they promise nothing has changed now we have an issue.. Don't see Christian County going to APSU camp's again or anything else associated with their program.

Look, if what you say is true about Christian County and Hopkinsville coaches steering kids because of this, then tha'ts petty and misguided. Also bad for the kids and sort of sad.

Zero effect on the program. There is currently one player on the roster from the area. We don't even know if the new coach is even interested in recruiting the area. Kids and parents will make their decision based on their best interests, not in something like this which is not unusual anyway.

It probably won't effect them but it's still wrong to go against your word.

So let me get this straight, two coaches came to see this kid and said that the AD told them that the kid's scholly would be honored. If I am understanding this right, an assistant coach or 2 that miraculously saved their job through a coaching change told a kid that the AD said that the school will honor their commitment to him eventhough they had a coaching change and now that is not the case. Sounds to me like they didn't get rid of quite enough of the coaching staff.

Were they on this kid prior to this camp or was the offer made simply because of this one day performance?

They offered a full ride to a punter?
