I am very happy for her its a very big accomplishment and I am sure it is a very exciting time for her, her family, her school and the community and to be honest I have never heard of Jenkins until now.

Congrats to Whitney Creech as she passes me to become the all time leading scorer in Kentucky.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the state of KY. To allow not only MS player to play Varsity (yeah right, preserving the interest of schools that don't have the numbers, whatever!), but this girl has played since the 5th grade? Seriously wrong with the system and its "HS Records" being broken by kids who are no even in HS. It's a shame, but hey it the rules right? Got to go by the rules, just like the All "A" tournament and crowing them state champions. I call total oscar mayer bologna!

per Bylaw 4 of the KHSAA that changed with the 2014-2015 school year, no student below the 7th grade could participate in Varsity athletics unless they were previously on a varsity roster.

If you like Circus'. I mean common, how do you think Shak and LeBron would halve done against HS, if allowed to move up in their states? Sure, entertaining, but just a circus. And you don't hear much about it from a HS boys perspective, it seems to be more isolated to girls, due to their quicker maturity, etc. Trust me, very few MS boys are beating out the HS boys in most sports, even track.

pretty simple - less talent competing to make the team + playing against less talented teams.

 

You don't see these 1 person take-overs in populated areas because there's usually someone else on the team that's going to be deserving enough to take away some of your shots.

 

And the relative strength of your opponents has to be a factor.
