Has Fredrick become CCH best offensive player? Does he need to shoot more shots to give CCH the best chance to win? I know he shoots a very high percentage.

They return to 9th Region action Friday. They haven't played in the 9th in almost a month and the Conner game will be the first against a non "A" 9th region opponent since the opener against Cooper. The other 9th opponents so far have been Ludlow, St Henry and Bellevue. Hopefully the rigorous "non-9th" portion of the schedule has helped. Huge district game next Tuesday Night in Latonia!

Frederick is definitely improving, but would not call him best offensive player. He doesn't yet create his own as well as CVH.

 

I don't know their grade levels, but Moeller was obviously the more mature team physically. The point guard (#5) was most impressive to me. The way they ran their sets and the offensive discipline they showed was impressive. I however would not necessarily want to follow that team on a game-to-game basis. C'mon coach, let them play! McBride came off high ball screens at least 5 times when he could have slashed to the basket, instead kicked it out to the corner or wing. I commend the kid, but selfishly, I would have liked to seen him go to the rim.

 

Colonels are young & it showed. Fortunately, 9th region is wide open lacking a highly experienced front runner, so CCH is in the mix.

 

Seeing Bo Schuh at the game on crutches, was disheartening in a couple ways. First, the Colonels really could use his skill set, but more importantly, his good start to a college career has been put on hold.

I got to listen online for a bit. It seemed to me that Andy Flood was putting the ball on the floor more and going to the rim. If that's the case that's a big plus for the Colonels. He's much more effective that way.

He was shooting 53% coming in and from what I heard was shooting about 50% during the game last night. That's a shocker.

Sorry, I didn't have his free throw % handy to make this prognosis! Just going by what I saw and was surprised because he shoots a nice ball. A couple were banks and not close.

In my opinion, too much going on with his free throw stroke. Too much wind up, ball goes back too far, & ball too deep in palm of his hand.

Needs to simplify. Keep ball more out front & on the fingertips. What do I know though, I could never shoot em well either.

1 for 9 from two in the 1st half makes life hard. Your opponent shooting 70%+ makes it much harder.

It was Elder 1, Moe 2, LaSalle 3. in Cincy. Moe and LaSalle each lost a game in nationally competitive Christmas tournaments down south. Elder played in a non-competitive tournament and stayed undefeated.
