Time Warner and Cincinnati Bell not doing what they are supposed to be doing?

Featured Replies

I get that but Cincinnati Bell makes it tough to do so and they make you pay for their equipment, you can't get out of paying. It is all contrived from my point of view.

For anyone having an issue, I found this link:

I had the same problem in Detroit I bit the bullet and got the better router.

Now that AT&T owns Directv is Uverse coming to your area ? Best Internet I've had. I've heard Directv is going quit offering packages with local providers like Cincy Bell and going to push the AT&T product in more markets.

I got an update last night from "a guy I know" who is a CinBell manager in the area. He acknowledges that they have this money and the requirement is 85% covered. CinBell is focusing it's installation efforts in the Williamstown area because of population density issues. They are attempting to get the most "bang for their buck" until the money runs out, according to my source.....

My IT department (wife) did this for us. She replaced the Cinti Bell equipment with our own and it works great. Still have to pay for the Bell equipment though. It's a scam.

If you think there is fraud of some sort involved, contact the Attorney General Office. They are the most likely to investigate something like this

Remember I worked for the government once. Sometimes when people report things we just look at them...

And frankly, if the Boone County Judge Executive can't even get an answer, a minion like me has no shot.

Again, you expose people/companies like this. One day there will be alternatives and that is when we all jump ship.

I've never checked ours to see what speed it is Vs what it is supposed to be.

If the people with no water in Campbell County continue to rely on their J/E and county commissioners to get something accomplished, the drought in California will be over before our water lines are installed. Power to the minions!

In the interest of balance, I have had Cincinnati Bell Internet Service for nearly 20 years and I am a satisfied customer but I think their router situation and the fees applied is a little shady. Additionally, I have had Time Warner Cable for about three years (it has been other names but I have TWC now) and I am very happy with the TWC. Picture is great, DVR set up is nice, and it "never" goes out. Now if I call customer service at either place it leaves a little to be desired but the services almost never malfunction so it is a non-issue.

Apparently Time Warner got hacked and someone got all the account info, FYI.

What's new.

The Government just sent me a letter saying my info got hacked in one of their databases too...

If you are using supplied equipment chances are with most companies you aren't getting your full speed. Uverse is the first time I didn't need to use 3rd party equipment.

Guarantee if Uverse became available in your area you would see service is night and day. AT&T does it right.
