The Stern Show sucks now. I still listen often but it's a B-rated version of what used to be great

I listen for the celebrity guests. He is by far the best interviewer in entertainment. Not even close. The goofy stuff is hit or miss.

From 2006 to roughly 2010, it was the greatest show in the history of radio. Then it seemed to just become a talk show.

The show misses Artie Lange and for whatever reason (marriage maybe) Howard stopped being Howard

Sick money being paid out to that Goon.

He is great but he is a GOOOOOOON

I still love Howard. There would've been a void in my life if he didn't renew.

But I could do without Tan Mom and Jeff the Drunk. Burned out on both.

I dropped Sirius 5 years ago but recently picked it back up when I bought a new car. I didn't spring for the package with Howard because I wasn't sure how long I'd keep it. I started listening to him in 1981 when he was still in DC, and listened to him everyday in Philly and for the short time he was on in Cincy after moving here. so I've pretty much every listened to him my entire life. I think I'm going to spring for the package with Howard now and get back in touch with the show.

Agreed. I used to listen to the show daily and after Artie left and the last round of negotiations the show got really stale and they were always on vacation. Seemed like they would be on the show 2 days a week at best. I got tired of paying for Sirius monthly when the only reason I had it was for the Stern Show. Wasn't worth it. I miss the show some and definitely miss his interviews but I ain't getting Sirius again.

I dropped it back in September for the same reason. Howard has gone a little soft and his entire personality has changed to appease his new Hollywood friends. He is a great interviewer and I enjoy those but the show just isn't funny anymore.

Howard was great pre Artie but Artie took the show to new levels. The show hasn't recovered since he left.

By the way I replaced Howard with listening to the Adam Carrolla podcast and it brought funny back to my mornings.

I still think Howard is very funny. Is the show the same as it once was? No, but neither am I. I listen back to a lot of the old clips now and I cringe. I prefer who he is today.

Not me, I like hardcore humor.

I concur, but Jeff the Lump is hilarious. :lol2:

I love The Lump. Jeff coughing is enough to make me want to change the station.

I'm surprised he hasn't come out with an app that you can pay for to get clips or recordings from the show.
