Who decides the players on this team how are they chosen? Who is eligible?

 

Committee selects players from nominations submitted by coaches. All senior players are eligible to be nominated/play, but they usually MUST be nominated. Committee is made up of knowledgeable people involved in the running of the bowl. Coaches can go to their website and get nomination forms I believe.

Rosters should be posted soon.

Last year’s team had roughly 19 All state and 12 or so D1 signees. College Coaches from D2, NAIA & D3 attend the practices. Very good event, probably most prestigious All Star game in the State. Last year’s game was televised.

I read today that Slusher and Overstreet from Beechwood were selected to an All Star game. I assume it's this one.

Slusher,Quinton Baker and Daric Pugh all should be on this team.

When and where is the game?

The game is scheduled to Saturday January 9 at James H. Taylor Stadium on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg KY. There is a banquet (with a speaker)for the players the night before the game. Players arrive and have practices at the local high school fields and at the UofC facilities. A great event and generally pretty good games. Kentucky was the winner last year but it has been a pretty even series.
