Yes, lots of interest. With the new rules and sliding scale as of 2016 Gpa was a couple points to low for Div 1. Might have been there by the end of the year but they more or less won't have any scholarships left by then. Bird in hand is better than two in the bush. Naia has a slightly lower allowance.

He's my son so I dont mind sharing and using our situation as an example. Your ACT or Sat is critical or you better have a 4.0 if you want to be eligble for Div. 1 sports. Collin has worked hard to get his GPA up and his ACT. It starts your freshman year. No time to cruise or take it easy. You can have all the size and talent needed, but without meeting the academic requirements you will not get to go Big unless you're paying. We prayed for an opportunity despite the challenges. We were blessed with a situation that will allow him to get a degree. Prayers answered and lessons learned.

I coached against that young man in middle school and man he was a terror. I pray he does outstanding and realizes all of his dreams.

This is great news...Congrats to Colin on being able to play at the next level. Sounds like a great fit filled with opportunity. Colin is one of the best power backs I've seen in this area in a long time.

Totally agree! The head coach did not do England any favors! There's no way a kid like him should have ever been on the sidelines! EVER!! From what I gather Ryle did not showcase several talents on that team. What a shame, maybe had a better record, but clearly did not finish in the long run any better than the last few years!

I always have tried to teach Collin and Kyle that things are not always going to go the way you want them to. Maximize your effort and attitude. Give your all when you get an opportunity. If you believe in GOD, then you know his plan is sovereign. The story is still being enlightened. You have to have struggles in order to appreciate what you have been given. Who knows 4 years from now what road the story has taken. Thank you everyone who rooted and helped, taught, coached, affected my son in a positive manner. We got another one coming next year to HS so we keep up the fight.

Unless I am reading it wrong myself, you must not have read the below quote from his father. He did not get bigger than NAIA opportunities due to academics. He could have carried the ball 25 times a game and averaged 200yds a game, but he would not have been qualified for NCAA FBS/FCS academically.
