You are correct. I posted before I read all of the other posts and just didn't feel like deleting it. I do think that he wasn't used effectively this year though. Maybe he wasn't a great fit in the offensive system, I really don't know. What I do know is that if he played for another team, he could've been one of the names in the state that everyone is talking about, not just NKY. I was very impressed with him as a junior. That kind of size and speed doesn't come around everyday at the RB position. Regardless of his grades, which are most important, that guy can play football and Union got a great football player

Good for Collin, and you all as a family! Proud of you and Collin for posting this. Not near enough people realize what ALL it takes to get a student/athlete to play at the college level. I know you have another son coming along that is a special athlete also! The system and coaches that are in place at Ryle have done their very best for Collin Im sure as they will for all their players now and in the future! Go get Collin at Union. Great atmosphere for football great atmosphere for being a student! Awesome!

I really like Union College. The football is in a rebuilding mode and from what I see can make a great push in NAIA to get that championship. Coach Knorr is wonderful (recruiting coach for this area). Coach Willis is a no nonsense guy. Get the work done on the field and in the class room. Good luck to Colin. He deserves it. By the way so do you.

He's my son so I dont mind sharing and using our situation as an example. Your ACT or Sat is critical or you better have a 4.0 if you want to be eligble for Div. 1 sports. Collin has worked hard to get his GPA up and his ACT. It starts your freshman year. No time to cruise or take it easy. You can have all the size and talent needed, but without meeting the academic requirements you will not get to go Big unless you're paying. We prayed for an opportunity despite the challenges. We were blessed with a situation that will allow him to get a degree. Prayers answered and lessons learned.

I always have tried to teach Collin and Kyle that things are not always going to go the way you want them to. Maximize your effort and attitude. Give your all when you get an opportunity. If you believe in GOD, then you know his plan is sovereign. The story is still being enlightened. You have to have struggles in order to appreciate what you have been given. Who knows 4 years from now what road the story has taken. Thank you everyone who rooted and helped, taught, coached, affected my son in a positive manner. We got another one coming next year to HS so we keep up the fight.
