If he doesnt dunk or get the top of the square, Bolus has a hard time spotting him lol

Its a business. Its politics. And its wrong. If, and I mean a big if, college recruiters ever decided to take his list seriously, it will do more harm than good to Kentucky's hopefuls. The bottomline is still no matter where a kid is ranked they still have to perform when college recruiters have their eyes on the player. Bolus puts himself in a jam when his rankings are off the mark and has to legitmise his rankings by having those on the camp allstar rosters regardless of the fact that another player has "earned" his right to be on it. I have talked to enough people to know that his rankings are an afterthought in the hoops community. Many have any questioned whether Bolus truly understands the game other than what ShooterX3 has stated a dunk which is worth 2 points. Which reminds me, someone noticed that at the camp 6 points were going up on the scoreboard following a dunk and the announcer kept yelling "touchdown."

How did Shining Star do yesterday in Louisville?

I don't have the scores in front of me but we are 4 wins and 1 loss so far. We lost to Sun Youth out of Canada our first game by 2, beat Fox Valley All Stars (had a nasty 7 footer), beat True B-Ball Playz out of Colorodo, beat the Cleveland Titans last night and beat Glory Elite this morning.

 

Austin Hill and Mike Hester are putting on a fantastic show for all of the coaches up here.

 

We are really small due to the fact that we are missing Zach Kiernan and Josh Hurd. We are really having to fight to stay in games because we are so much smaller than everyone down here.

 

I will try to update you later today.

Great to hear both Hill and Hester are doing so well. Austin can handle his own against big men. He did a nice job on Walker last year even though he put up 50 and 25 :lol:

It's nice to see these two kids get the exposure they deserve. Hester and Hill in my opinion are two of the best guards in the state and can play with anyone at their respective positions.

That is nice to hear... I truly think Austin Hill is the best player in the 9th/10th region. Hester sounds like he is a true distributor of the rock and can nail down the 3.

Did not get to many shots in the overtime. We turned the ball over the first three possessions and missed the few shots that we did get. Not one of our better stretches of basketball.

 

It was painful to watch and even more painful as I was pulling stats from the video.

 

We lost two games to teams that we had no business loosing to and won a couple of games that we had no business winning. Just one of those weekends.

Team Kentucky is 2-1 in the Adidas Three Stripes tourney out in LA. Had a great win Vs the God Squad in a balanced attack. So far the team is being led by Tyler Bailey from Perry Central, Jaryd Crum from Johnson Central, Noah Keeton from Lincoln Co, and the player who is really showing his stuff to the scouts is Ryan Whitaker from Bell Co. Pitino has been at the sessions and had breifly watched at least part of two games.

 

Campbell Hall tourney early next week, and then at Mater Dei to finish out the week.
