The DS Allstars 17's West is 1 - 1 with an overtime loss to the Atlanta Celtics and a win over Full Package 17 Under. In the win over Full Package 17 Under, Johanne Hamilton led scorers with 18 points.

Looks like Shooter is still in Jail, who else can tell us how the DS teams are doing? Anyone want to get together and raise his bail?

Yes. The ATL Celtics are highly regarded and our kids fought to an OT loss. There ARE NO weak teams at the Adidas Super 64. The comp is REAL. This year's field features teams with 2 and 3 legit D1 players on each squad.

Ok, got shooter on his cell in Las Vegas, coming off big win over Indiana Elite,

69-60, most of those guys will be in the Indiana All star game next year so that should give Kentucky some heart, bad news was Ty Proffitt got serious ankle injury at the start of the game, and it wasnt looking good for him. He said Proffitt was really playing well when he went down. (He also said he was chastised by the Prep Force for not using his shift key, he said he understood, and the next thing he knew was suspended and he doesnt really understand why but he is too busy to deal with it now)

Congrats to the DS East team on a major win though

You might want to add that Jon VanHoose put up 28 points in that game too.

The Ky. Shining Stars won their first pool game at the showcase in Florida this AM. I was told they won by @ 20pts , don't know any stats yet.:banana:

DS 16's lost to Indiana Sharks by 10 (due to fouling at the end) who eventually took 2nd. We picked up 3 new kids and had 2 who did not play with us in July, which really hurt the team's chemistry. Tons of talent present in Vegas though. Did not go on to LA this yr. We just couldn't seem to get it going as a unit. Mullaney (Desales) and Chambless (Trinity) had a good tourny. Chambless having 25 (5 3's) against the sharks. Referees very inconsistant, normally one ref calling everything and the other two letting you kill each other. The way it goes though.

 

DS 17's west looked great. Losing to Pump & Run (coached by Jim Herrick) in the semi's by 2 points. Pettigrew's stock through the roof. Johonne, Justin Benadetti and Beaumont looked good.

 

Shooter can tell you more about the East, faired well though. Ty Proffitt chipped a bone in his foot early on and left them with only 7 players. They move the ball well and shoot it nicely. Overachievers for sure, being matched up against teams with large post players. :thumb:

Shooter is still suspended but he told me they won their pool in Vegas and Beat the Midwest storm in the tournament who won the Hoosier Shootout!

Came in 2nd in their pool in Los Angeles and start tournament play Sunday.

Said Novosel at 6.5 and playing up a year was ouplaying every post player they came up against!:thumb: Other juniors Tyler Portwood and Jordan Smart were playing well and putting up big shooting numbers.

Rodney Haddix and Jon Van Hoose getting some big interest from d-1 schools including Gonzaga and George Mason!

(also said weather was nice and he was getting a lot more work done since his suspension)

Proffitt is working hard on his ankle and may get to play Sunday but wont be 100%
