Well, after you read my comments, just remember, you asked for opinions, and that's the only thing that can be returned, OPINIONS. Before I state mine, as I have made clear in another thread, NCC had a very good defense, against the run. My OPINION, is mayfield had a much tougher road to get to the final than NCC. It could have been that NCC was better than many of us thought, or it could have been that our kids overlooked them somewhat, but my OPINION is we were just wore out from playing 2 VERY tough games to get to BG. My opinion is if we had played NCC 2 weeks earlier, or even 1 week, we beat them by 21. As I stated, NCC was outstanding against the run but I believe it was PARTIALLY because we just didn't have a lot left in our tanks after the 2 previous games, just enough. So yes, I think DeSales was better than NCC, and to stir this up a bit more, I think OC was better than DeSales. Ok, there you have it, my OPINION, let the blows begin!

I saw NCC against Danville and Mayfield. Both have strong defenses, quick although not really big, and NCC struggled mightily to move the ball. I know DeSales and CAL both have very good, big, physical defenses. If NCC couldn't generate much offense against Danville and Mayfield, I can't see them generating it against DeSales and CAL.

 

Now, what NCC did have was a very good defense of their own, and had they played DeSales in the finals for a third consecutive year, I think they play a much closer, more competitive game. But DeSales would still win.

My OPINION is that your OPINION is very well stated and has a lot of MERIT to it. Good job!

Mayfield is good and they won state this year, but watching the state game and seeing them for the first time this year in finals. My opinion way overrated from hearing people on BGP saying this team is awesome and would beat Ncc by 3 or 4 tds. Last year Desales team would of beat Mayfield by 3 or 4 tds they were for real compared to Mayfield this year. Now remember just my opinion
