That all makes sense. Only interesting part would be all the T's on the Male coach.. If he were experimenting and didn't care about the score, would he be so rattled? I also agree with the other poster that says summer and pre-season are two different things.

 

But overall your right that it's scrimmages and they should only influence pre-season rankings in a small way.

 

There's always more to the story. After speaking with some of the girls and one of the parents I found one of the male girls was bitten by the opponent. It was physical and got out of hand.

I did see the bite mark that was left on the arm.

OK, I jut saw the Simon Kenton v Brossard scrimmage post then read Passtheball's info on the Male v Campbell County scrimmage. Are we talking girls high school basketball? Seriously, the beauty of girls basketball in my opinion is the purity of the game. The good fundamentals. In leading up to this, I was looking forward to a great season, now I'm not so sure!

There was no technicals and no biting going on during the Campbell County/Male game. It was a good game. I think someone might have their scrimmages mixed up.

Not Campbell scrimmage. This was at the Bullitt East scrimmage where the technicals were called.

Looking at it through my Bluebird goggles...I'm curious why SK and Mason would be ahead of HHS. Not saying HHS should move up, just saying that HHS beat SK by 22 last year and both teams lost 2 starting seniors. As for Mason, I know they didn't lose anyone, but HHS beat them by 17 last year. With the loss of our two, it may put them more even, but not sure that far ahead. And I am surprised HC keeps landing on these lists as most local folks barely have them in the top 5 in NKY.

From what I was told (I was not there so don't take this as fact) All of the starters for HHS played. I don't know how much time they played bc of injury. I was also told that Adler (sp?) had 5 points only. Shut down by MC guard play.

Kenton County School Board has this mundane after school activity policy that does not allow after school activities if school was canceled. So, a week of no school, means a week of no practice. That is when HHS caught SK last year. Same thing happened the year before with NCC. The current super is simply not a supporter of athletics. I for one will not miss her when her contract is up.

 

 

Not saying HHS would not win again, but certainly not by 22. I also believe the home team has been pretty consistent in winning this game.

That's a valid opinion! And you're right, I can't tell you who CC will play on O'Mara. What I will say is I think that whatever happens with O'Mara, Boone, Littleton Frodge and Mcnutt won't have any problem covering. That's what makes MC arguably the best team in NKY in my opinion. No other team has the consistency of play in their starting five. That's only in NKY though, let's not start comparing them to the E-Town five or the Mercer five.
