Ehhh. He may be playing on fear and stereotypes, but he wasn't lying.

"A few people" is not thousands. I get that there were some people. But the exaggeration was over the top. And somewhere out there, non-thinking people now believe there were thousands.

The operative phrase.

Clueless wasn't the right word. They're both saying everything intentionally. Trump is pandering to the lowest common denominator, and just trying to stir up emotion. I don't understand his supporters.

How is that any different the what the Dems do whenever anyone suggests Medicare or Social Security reform and immediately start saying that the reformers want to kill Granny.

Because Trumps statement doesn't have opinions on it. It's a matter of how you view the issue with Social Security and everything like that. But Trump made a statement that is proven to be false, and is sticking by it.

That's like me saying that John Adams was the first president of America, and then just sticking by that and insisting that he was.

It's not Trumps opinion on an issue, or an issue that could even have opinions. Trump made an incorrect statement, and has still insisted that it's true because his supporters are very anti-Muslim, seemingly.

Many non-thinking people believe it didn't happen at all.

Completely agree, just like non-thinking people will believe the remarks about gun violence from the debate that Mrs Clinton spewed forth, that were complete rubbish. It doesn't make what he did right, but it's not like he fabricated the story he just exaggerated it...again not right to do that either.

Many non-thinking people believe it didn't happen at all.

It's amazing to me how many people to this day believe it was all perpetrated and carried out by the US...and that demolition charges brought down all of the buildings.

I was referring to Trump's comments. The media quadrupled down crying, "THAT NEVER HAPPENED!"

They were wrong. And it's elevated Trump.

So...."thousands" protested in Jersey?

Gotcha
So...."thousands" protested in Jersey?

I don't think thousands. But that's not what new outlets like NY Times were up in arms about. They said no report existed about anyone cheering the WTC coming down. Then cited police and the mayor. Reports now show that simply isn't the case.

Too bad it is the Republican Party and not the Buffalo Wild Wings Party. They got rid of their spokesperson and removed his commercials who lied on 9/11.
