Maybe more information like this will calm the hysteria.

Good luck with that.

Can they guarantee that there are zero terrorists in the refugees?

Can they guarantee that there are zero terrorists in the refugees?

Can we guarantee that there are zero terrorists on any incoming flight from anywhere?

Unless they can guarantee it, then the article is false. Even a single terrorist poses a great security threat.

Did you read it?

Your response sounds like someone who a) didn't read it and b) doesn't understand the meaning of the word "serious"...

It was especially interesting to me, to learn the differences in how the process differs for asylum seekers and refugees.

Can you guarantee everyone in your neighborhood isn't a terrorist?

Is anyone on here willing to lose everything they have, including family, to take the risk of permitting a terrorist into this country? Using the claim "your neighbors" might already be a terrorist is a cop out in leanding sympathy towards the refugees. You are defending the undefendable. Its not hysteria, its common sense in preventing these people into this country. Stand up and create a safe haven in your own country if its worth fighting for. The left wing of my country is so far removed of weighing the risks to benefits of this refugee crisis is beyond reasoning.

"We should welcome Syrian refugees, and we can do it safely. That's been the history of the United States." - Ted Cruz 2014

Ted Cruz Last Year: We Should Welcome Syrian Refugees, And We Can Do It Safely

I hate this line of thinking. The "because he said it in the past, he must still say it, or else he is flip-flopping" line of thinking. The Syrian refugee crisis has grown at an exponential rate over the past year, as have terrorist attacks. Maybe in 2014 he believed that we should welcome in Syrian Refugees because he thought it could be done safely. It seems that he now no longer believes that can be done. I don't see what the issue is with him changing his stance. I would rather have a politician modify his stance to adapt to the current political context, than to remain stubborn.

BTW, in case you haven't noticed, Europe is in total chaos because of the unfiltered exodus from Syria. Is Rand Paul re-thinking his position?

A majority of those in the U.S. wanted to deny Germans into the U.S. just before WWII. Same with Jewish people, even turning away ships filled with Jews. And another sad part in U.S. history is those in the U.S. even wanted to deny entry of 10,000 Jewish children just before WWII, I wonder how many of those kids were killed by the Nazis?

It is hysteria! plain and simple! The facts are in about those who carried out the attack in Paris, at least 7 of the 8 were from France or Belgium. Sad part is those like Christy can't even understand the facts, most likely he is refusing the facts as it doesn't fit his agenda.

The issue with all the refugees is the problem of the world, as we all sat back for at least 4 years and did nothing. Even when being told that this would happen, the rest of the world turned their backs on Syria, now we all are paying the price, but a lot less of a price than the refugees. We, the world, was a huge part of this problem, and now we must fix it.
