My rule of thumb for watching Big 10 Football games is that I have always rooted for the lower ranked team. That would mean one year I was rooting for Michigan and the next I might be rooting for Ohio St.

 

Ohio St will win this game going away...offense will hit a half dozen or so big plays and defense will keep MSU from making the same type of plays.

Because Northwestern beat Stanford and for some reason that holds weight. The SEC is having a down year, but even with that said the national championships over the last decade and NFL players speak for the conference. One year of an upswing from the Big 10 doesn't much when you can brag about 1 week over the past decade.

2 F4 teams since 2006, when LSU went. UK and Florida only teams to do anything other than get in. B1G football had two teams in Big 6 bowls last year alone, won both and a national championship. Poor analogy.

Not the argument. I made a point that UK hoops guy gets up for SEC games no matter who they are playing. It's true. I made a point OSU football guy gets up for many B1G games for same various reasons. I made that point because SEC guy was going down the tired road of scheduling and how could we even be interested before now. It's somehow lead to this. Now if somehow it can be quantified and we can somehow debate what is better relatively between B1G football and SEC hoops I will argue that all day.

This! I really don't like any other B1G team and I don't actively root for teams just because they are in the same conference with Ohio State. Never understood that logic. But I was cheering hard core for Wisconsin last year when they played Auburn in their bowl game. I love seeing any conference beat an SEC team just because I can't stand SEC fans. I would have never thought we would get to the point where you could be walking around downtown Lexington and see people wearing SEC hats. Not UK hats, SEC hats. It's sad really.

The second best team in the conference lost to a horrible Nebraska team this year lets not forget.

1. ACC (7 of top 50, 5 of top 16)

2. Big 12 (7 of top 50, 4 of top 20)

3. Big 10 (6 of top 50, 4 of top 21)

4. Big East (6 of top 50, 3 of top 22)

5. Pac 12 (5 of top 50, 2 of top 10)

6. SEC (5 of top 50, 1 of top 28)

7. A-10 (3 of top 50, 1 of top 28)

8. MVC (2 of top 50, 2 of top 12)

9. American (2 of top 50, 1 of top 23)

No the SEC really is that bad at basketball. The B1G is a great football conference and I don't care what you say. The best team in the SEC this year lost to a bad Ole Miss team. Also if you look at the box score for all of Nebraska's games they haven't been blown out once. They have been in every game in the fourth quarter and just haven't been able to finish. They aren't a bad Nebraska team, just an unlucky one. The B1G football has more ranked teams than the SEC right now and its been that way for a couple of weeks, but please continue to tell me how the conference isn't any good and everyones in conference schedules are so weak. How come Clemson doesn't take the heat for their weak schedule. They are in hands down the worst P5 conference, but yet I hear nothing about them playing no one or how bad their conference is.
