NKU 81 Ohio Northern 76

Any chance that he redshirts this year or are numbers such that he will have to be in the mix?

Good question.

My concern is hearing Brannen say he wants to play 94 feet both ways. That doesn't seem to fit Drew's style.

How many on the B-side do you think play solid minutes?

It depends. With the style he's wanting to play it'll have to be a few. There are probably 2 that can legit hold their own right now.

That style does not seem to fit returning player Gielser or McDonald. Giesler only played 11 minutes against a team in which NKU had a significant size differential.

Realize that can be tough in exhibitions where the D2 & D3 teams run out 4 & 5 guard lineups at times but you would hope the D1 team would be talented enough to dictate style of play.

NKU did dictate style of play. Their style is full court both ways.

There aren't many on the team now that "fit the style"

Lavone Holland, NKU's point guard was ineligible to play Saturday. Might be difficult to play 94 feet both ways if he can't come back. No real back-up at point right now with Dean Danos just coming off knee surgery. They gave up a boat load of open 3's trying to trap and letting shooter open. I don't think coach B lets that happen in a real game.

Why is he ineligible?

Not really sure, something with summer school and NKU's compliance dept.

Why? Not like Mack signs a lot of guys from the Greater Cincinnati area.

'Why' what? Why will it be lopsided? Why will Chris take it easy on John? Why is Cincinnati the home market for NKU?

Why would Mack put any special emphasis on this game? It is not like both schools would be going after the same players in the Greater Cincinnati area as Mack seems to prefer a more national recruiting base.

No one said Mack is putting any special emphasis on this game. As was already pointed out he and Brannen are friends which MAY cause Chris to not let it get AS out of hand as it could. MAYBE.

He wouldn't. However, he and John are tight so I'm not sure Chris is looking to humiliate his buddy in his buddy's home market. Clearly they aren't battling for recruits, that was never my point. I don't think Chris wants the game to get crazy lopsided for fear of making John's job all the more difficult in terms of helping the department stimulate interest (and ticket sales).
