FWIW, 5 of the 6 out of district teams Scott played this year won in the opening round of the playoffs last week. Yes the District games were weak, but you can't choose your district.

Scott is without star running back Deondre Pleasent for this game. He is a key player for Scotts offense and defensive. Reports saying he's out 3-4 months with a torn groin? Anyways, Scott's defense was banged up against Rowan County. I see Ashland winning by a lot and rolling over Scott. Hate to see them go down but I see no competition for this game.

Pulling for the Eagles, but I think Ashland wins this one by a couple of TDs. Scott should score some points, but I don't think they will stop them on Defense

At the end of the day, it's all about our kids and players...and this game might be close for sure. The Eagles weren't given their home field advantage - they earned it. GO EAGLES!

Congrats to Scitt on earning 1 seed. Ashland too earned their state ranking. Doubt their is any disrespect by either side Should be fun. Hoping for an injury free quality high school football game.

I couldn't agree more. On a side note I've been praising some guy named O'Brien all season, lol. Dunno how he really plays for, but I hear he's a great linebacker.

I feel the same way. If they are not 100% I would sit them the first quarter and see how things go. No point in risking further injury or a new injury. Both are studs, but I think a lot of people underestimate (mostly fans of other teams) how good Brown is and Ashlands defense is as a whole. Ashland was impressive last Friday without them against a Bourbon county team that played within a TD of Scott.

No way. I've seen strategies like that backfire. If you're going to play them, start them. If things get sideways, it can be hard to change momentum. And Scott is good enough, and has enough playmakers to make that happen.

 

Scott may be the underdog, but if you think you can easily beat them while giving your best guys the night off, you'd be playing a dangerous game.
