If Conway drops this and drags the rest of the ticket with him, he had better be persona non grata around KDP HQ.

 

I've been scrolling through the national media's reaction to the election and it's amazing to me how many analyses and explanations leave out what a God-awful candidate Jack Conway is.

Conway's negative campaign cost him this job. Ky Democrats which out number Republicans still love the President...He didn't lose their vote because of the President.

 

Conway talking more about Bevin and less about himself and what he would do as governor cost him this race.

I have to agree with the assessment about the Conway negative campaign. The ads were awful and then the Bevins' were positive and good. His wife made a really good ad for him. I can't stand the guy, but Bevins ads good, Conway bad. I don't recall seeing a single positive ad by Conway.

Bevin outworked Conway. Plain and simple. Conway needed the cities, they didn't deliver, and ignored downstate. Lost the plain folk.

Each race is different, every candidate different. Westerfield tried to Obama-ize Beshear and Beshear is doing much better than Conway. So are you saying Obama cost Conway but not Beshear and Grimes? Both Grimes and Beshear had some positive ads.

Comparing the three races, it is readily apparent that Conway performed the worst. Either Bevins was that much better (extremely unlikely) or that Conway was lacking in a way the other two weren't. It can't be Obama, cause Obama was the same Obama for all three races.
