I agree. On one hand he can help eliminate ISIS, on the other hand, if he sends troops after them and deaths mount for Russia, it won't look well for Putin, and I think he is in more of a tight spot than any US president or UK PM concerning going after ISIS. Boots do need to be on the ground, but sadly deaths will mount for those fighting ISIS. But it needs to be done.

With Russia and Iran on the ground it complicates what we can do. I think we are now supporting the Free Syrian Army with more weapons and assistance via special forces.

 

I'm not sure we can do much more than handing out a few more weapons.
