Findings from the NCAA's drug survey.

Dang. Is there anything a lacrosse player won't do?!

It's interesting that basketball seems to have the lowest perentage for each drug.

I'd be interested in seeing a breakdown of D1 vs D2 vs D3 as well.

Any sport you get to hit an opponent with a stick...you should be doing whatever you can ingest...

I think coaches have a lot more control over players in basketball than most other sports. When you only have to look over 15 it's easier to keep in check than 100 football players, etc. Like UK has a dorm just for a ball players. I'm not ignorant and think that the players don't get into shenanigans, but it has to be significantly less than other programs.

That's why I am interested in seeing statistics for all divisions. I know that at UK all of the players might live in the same dorm, but I know for a fact that for many D2 and D3 schools that is not the case.

My youngest son played D2 college basketball for a highly ranked team (my oldest played D1 college soccer). The drug testing was kind of a joke among the team because he and another kid on the team who were probably visually/athletically the least likely to be using performance enhancing drugs or any other for that matter, were by far the two "random" selections most frequently drug-tested. I wonder if this is the situation elsewhere?

On a plane last night and the guy next to me Told me he had drug, alcohol issues with his son, so he sent him to a military HS school. Just so happens the kid loves lacrosse and wants to play in college. Coincidence?

After spending a little time in lacrosse country (Maryland, Virginia, and etc.) it doesn't surprise me one bit that they are the "biggest party group".

I guess Rugby is more considered a club sport in college, but wow, those guys (and gals) knew their way around a party.

Those guys sure do know how to crush some beers after a match, that's for sure!
